What CompressWise is
CompressWise is a browser-based tool for compressing JPEG, PNG, and WebP images, including format-specific workflows and target-size pages for common KB limits. It is built for people preparing website images, editorial graphics, ecommerce photos, email attachments, and everyday web assets.
Why browser-based processing matters
The public tool is designed to process selected images locally in your browser by default. That keeps the workflow fast, reduces server dependency, and makes the privacy boundary easier to understand.
Current release boundary
The current public release is focused on free local compression. It does not include accounts, pricing, cloud processing, upload storage, API access, or compression history.
How the product can grow
Future versions may add more format tools, image conversion, metadata controls, or optional cloud features. Those additions should stay separate from the default local compression path and should be clearly labeled when introduced.
